USC football has the top-ranked recruiting class in 2023 according to On3.com and another five-star is being projected to join the mix in Brandon Inniss.

Lincoln Riley hasn’t coached a game as head coach of the USC football program but he’s already put in some impressive work, namely on the recruiting trail and that work continues.

Not only have Riley and USC football put together an elite class of transfers this offseason, but the Trojans are off to a scorching hot start in the 2023 recruiting class thanks in large part to the commitment of five-star quarterback Malachi Nelson, who flipped from Oklahoma.

That was a huge win for Riley, however, he’s landing a number of elite offensive players and already has two of the top six wideouts in 2023 committed to the Trojans as Zachariah Branch, the top-rated wideout according to On3 is part of the class along with Makai Lemon.

Well, if the latest expert projections are correct, the Trojans aren’t done adding elite talent at wide receiver in 2023.

Brandon Inniss is trending to USC football

Whether you are looking at 247 sports or On3.com’s prediction machine for recruits, USC football is becoming the heavy favorite. A number of crystal ball projections have come in recently from 247 sports experts including a big one from West Coast expert Greg Biggins, who hinted a decision could be coming soon (subscription required).

Inniss, who is from South Florida, also received a prediction from Andrew Ivins. He covers Miami football and knows that area very well in terms of recruiting, so those two predictions hold a lot of weight. Ivins confidence level was just two of out 10 but that came back in January, while Biggins put his prediction in with a confidence level of seven just this week.

Inniss is ranked as the top wideout according to the 247 sports composite rankings and while he’s a little lower according to the On3 consensus rankings, he’s still 25th overall and a five-star.

Plus when you consider that if each commits to the Trojans, not only would they get the chance to play with Caleb Williams next year, but also with Nelson, the five-star quarterback, and the pairing of the No. 2 QB in 2023 with three top-10 wideouts, is a pretty incredible haul.
