Arkansas Football: Way-too-early 2-deep depth chart projection for 2022

Arkansas football had a better than expected season in 2021 and enter the offseason with momentum. What will the Razorbacks’ depth chart look like in 2022?

Just a few years ago, it seemed that Arkansas Football was viewed as one of the toughest jobs in the country and one that no coach would want. Just two years later, Sam Pittman has the program heading in the right direction and the Razorbacks should be a ranked team heading into the 2022 season.

The reason for optimism is going to be because of the returning production on both sides of the ball. Arkansas also used the transfer portal effectively and found some instant impact players. Both coordinators remained and that is good for the continuity of the program.

The biggest question might be how the Razorbacks replace a receiver like Treylon Burks. Burks was one of the top receivers in the country and is close to being a first-round pick in this year’s draft. He was the go-to guy for the offense and had a lot of big-play ability. The secondary is also suffering some losses due to transfer, but that is one area that Arkansas tried to replenish via the portal.

This is going to be a great opportunity for the Razorbacks to get back to a bowl game and keep the momentum going that Pittman has created. The culture is real in this program and Arkansas is going to be a tough team for any team to beat this season. The Razorbacks will have an experienced roster with several ready players.
