3.  A program on the rise

When you think about attractive college football programs for a transfer portal quarterback, Oregon State might not be the team that first comes to mind.

But as we have said, the Beavers are moving up. Even with some inconsistent play at quarterback last season, Oregon State notched some significant progress with seven wins.

And as Thamel reported, Daniels likes the fact that Oregon State returns most of its offensive line which isn’t surprising. On top of that, the Beavers have three receivers returning who caught at least 20 passes from last season, as well as running back Trey Lowe who had 569 yards from scrimmage last season (200 receiving) and averaged 6.4 yards per attempt on the ground.

Oregon State also has a bunch of contributors returning, including most of the secondary, on defense and if the Beavers landed JT Daniels, they will be a team to watch in the Pac-12 in 2022.
