With spring competition in full swing for Ole Miss Football. What can we expect the depth chart to look like for the Rebels in 2022?

Ole Miss Football is coming off a tremendously successful campaign under second-year head coach, Lane Kiffin. In which the team finished 10-3 on the season, and ranked 11th in the country in the AP Top 25 poll. Tacking on major wins over SEC opponents Arkansas, LSU, Tennessee, and Texas A&M, as well as their inner-state rival, Mississippi State, to take home the coveted ‘Egg Bowl’.

All of which was good enough to land them in the 2021 Sugar Bowl. Marking the first time in program history that the Rebels finished with 10 regular-season wins and their major first bowl appearance in over five years.

Given that the team went 5-5 the year before, and carried one of the worst defenses in college football, this is a pretty impressive accomplishment in and of itself.

Unfortunately, Ole Miss football also lost a ton of key players from 2021. Most notably their starting quarterback Matt Corral, receiver Dontario Drummond, and running back, Jerrion Ealy. As well as the Rebel’s leading tackler Chance Campbell and sack leader Sam Williams.

Simply put, they have a lot of lost production to make up for next season.

Luckily, the team was able to bring in a number of big names through the transfer portal, including Jaxson Dart from USC, as well as Zach Evans and Khari Coleman out of TCU. In fact, Ole Miss football recorded the highest transfer portal rating in the entire nation this offseason, per 247 Sports.

So, there’s certainly reason to be excited if you’re a Rebels fan.

Regardless, with so much turnover across the board, it’s hard to predict what’s in store for Ole Miss Football next season. One thing we do know is that there will be a lot of fresh faces making plays in 2022.

Here is the projected depth chart for Ole Miss Football in 2022.
