Evan Stewart is one of the handful of five-stars in Texas A&M’s 2022 recruiting class and he’s the lone member of that group to appear on this breakout list.

Texas A&M needs a receiver to step up as that No. 1 target and go-to guy and it could be Ainias Smith, Caleb Chapman, Demond Demas, or Chase Lane, but don’t count out Stewart who was the second-best receiver in the entire 2022 class. He was also listed as the No. 11 prospect in the country and had nearly 40 offers.

Stewart picked Texas A&M over Texas and decided to enroll early which is great news because he could crack that two-deep this spring and potentially even make a push for a starting spot this fall.

Although he’s not the biggest target at 6-foot-0 and 175 pounds, he’s an electric receiver with speed, explosiveness, and great hands. Gabe Brooks of 247Sports actually compared him to former Heisman-winning receiver DeVonta Smith.

I think 2022 could be a big year for Stewart and it starts this spring.
