Nyckoles Harbor, 5-star athlete

Michigan football fans all remember what the Wolverines were able to do with David Ojabo, a guy who was trending towards being a top-10 pick before a freak injury.

That development is something that Michigan can sell to top recruits and it’s been working as the Wolverines are a contender to land five-star athlete Nyckoles Harbor, who is as good an athlete as there is in the entire 2023 recruiting class.

Not only is he a world-class sprinter — he runs a 10.38 in the 100 — he’s 6-foot-5, 225 pounds. He’s literally a freak of nature, in a good way, and he’s going to visit Michigan football this weekend for the spring game.

While Harbor would likely dominate on either side of the ball, Michigan is selling him as an edge rusher and with two first-round picks on last year’s team at the position, it makes sense.

A bunch of other blue-chip programs are in pursuit too but the Washington, D.C. prospect has ties to Michigan and the Wolverines have a realistic shot to make a splash here, which is the kind of recruiting win you’d expect for a team fresh off a playoff berth.
