5. USC Trojans

This might be a surprising choice, but if there’s one team from the Pac-12 that I believe could run the table this year, it’s the Trojans.

USC has arguably the best coach in the conference and talent was never an issue under Clay Helton so the cupboard isn’t exactly bare. Actually, the Trojans have plenty to work with and Lincoln Riley is bringing potential Heisman candidate Caleb Williams with him to Los Angeles and he’s going to do an excellent job of replacing Jaxson Dart and Kedon Slovis.

While USC’s 2022 recruiting class is ranked just 65th in the country, it was only eight players deep with an average rating of 92 on 247Sports. The class if consisted of quality and not quantity.

Riley did bring in 13 transfers, led by Williams, and each of these newcomers could have an immediate impact and we’ve seen the portal turn programs around immediately before.

There are a few games that could trip USC up this year such as road battles against Utah and UCLA along with a home bout against Notre Dame, but all are winnable. This schedule could set up nicely for a 12-0 finish.
