247 sports projected the win totals of every SEC football team and we take a look at which of those projections were too high, too low, and just right.

It’s spring football season, which means that we get a taste of the college football season which is still about five months away.

However, the spring is a great time to reassess things. Teams are pretty secretive about their spring practices but there are always things you can learn and it’s a great way to see how rosters are starting to develop. It’s also a great time for discussion and debate.

And as many SEC football teams are ramping up their spring workouts, we are one step closer to the start of the 2022 season and earlier this week, Bud Elliott of 247 sports put out projected win totals for each SEC football team.

Here is our reaction to the projections with thoughts on totals that are too low, too high, and just right.

We start with an SEC football win projection that was too low and that’s Georgia’s.

Too low: Georgia (11)

It’s hard to disagree with an 11-1 projection, but just like the Bulldogs did in 2021, this team will put together an undefeated regular season in 2022.

As far as SEC football schedules go, Georgia’s is quite favorable. The Bulldogs have to play the usual suspects such as Florida (neutral site), Tennessee, South Carolina, and Kentucky.

The games at Kentucky and South Carolina are on the road, which will be a challenge, as will the rivalry game against Florida.

Georgia’s first game is against Oregon and former defensive coordinator Dan Lanning but the Bulldogs return their starting quarterback and more than enough talent to run the table, especially after avoiding Alabama and Texas A&M in the regular season.
