Penn State football lands elite pass rusher

Penn State is another team that has smartly utilized the college football’s transfer portal and on Tuesday, the Nittany Lions made a major addition for 2022 and beyond by landing former high-ranking four-star EDGE rusher Demeioun Robinson.

While he is just the third transfer portal addition this offseason, Robinson is a 6-foot-4, 250-pound pass rusher who was ranked 68th overall according to the 247 sports composite rankings in the 2021 recruiting class. He also should remind Penn State fans of Arnold Ebiketie, who was a major pickup last offseason. Ebiketie is now being talked about as a first-round pick in the draft.

While Robinson wasn’t overly productive with Maryland, he was credited with two sacks last season and was also rated by 247 sports as the second-best pass rusher in the transfer portal after his freshman season.

Penn State football bulked up its pass rush last year in the transfer portal and it appears the Nittany Lions have hit another home run with Robinson.
