Notre Dame Football continues to recruit at an elite level
Notre Dame landed a top-100 commitment earlier this week and is expected to get another four-star commitment by Monday.
Things continue to go extremely well for Notre Dame football on the recruiting trail and just this week, the Irish landed their ninth commitment of the 2023 class.
Notre Dame is ranked first in the 2023 team rankings according to the 247 sports composite, as well as No. 2 in the On3.com consensus rankings.
And earlier this week, on Tuesday, the Irish added to their 2023 class with Braylon James, a highly-ranked four-star wide receiver. He’s ranked 107th overall according to the On3.com consensus rankings and the 6-foot-2, 174-pounder is also the 19th-best at his position.
Notre Dame has been focused on adding more elite talent at wideout and did add Tobias Merriweather in 2022, but lost the commitment of C.J. Williams, a top-100 recruit to USC, as well as Amorion Walker to Michigan.
So adding James who is an outside receiver with great size and body control, is exactly what the doctor ordered, especially as Notre Dame tries to attract elite recruits at quarterback.
Notre Dame’s momentum should keep growing
Soon enough, Notre Dame football should add its 10th commitment in the 2023 class as offensive lineman Sam Pendleton is expected to commit on April 25th. He’s 6-foot-4, 305-pounds, and ranked just outside the top 300 in the 247 sports composite rankings.
Clemson actually had a crystal ball projection recently but a visit to Notre Dame turned things around and now eight recruiting experts have projected him to the Irish.
Notre Dame has a 93-percent chance of winning commitment according to the On3.com prediction machine, which would give the Irish their ninth four-star pledge.
Four of those commitments are ranked in the top 100 (one five-star) of the consensus rankings and if the Irish can land Dante Moore in 2023 too, this class could be epic.
