These three players should be on the top of Jacksonville’s list during the 2022 NFL Draft.

In a week, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will approach the podium in Las Vegas, Nevada, and change the fortunes of over 200 young men and their families when Goodell calls their names in the 2022 NFL Draft. Young men dream of hearing their names called for an opportunity to play professional football.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have the first pick in the 2022 NFL draft, a position they have held for the second consecutive year. What should the Jags do with the selection? The simple answer is to trade the pick for more picks. A team with the first overall pick often does not have a good roster. However, the Jags were able to address some needs during free agency.

This offseason, the Jaguars had the second-most cap space in the NFL, and they spent it well. Some of their key signings were veteran guard Brandon Scherff from Washington, linebacker Foyesade Oluokun, wide receiver Christian Kirk and tight end Brandon Engram.

Jacksonville still has needs at receiver, offensive line, and linebacker. There is no receiver or linebacker to take first overall, so the Jaguars could go offensive line with the first pick. Though the defensive line is not a critical area of need after signing Arden Key, the Jags have just 50 sacks the last two seasons.

Who will they pick first in the 2022 NFL Draft? Here is a look at three players Jacksonville should target with the first overall pick.
