2022 NFL Draft: 3 players the Bengals should target with 31st pick
By Dante Pryor
The Cincinnati Bengals have the 31st pick in the upcoming NFL Draft this year. Who will they target with their pick? Here are three options.
The Cincinnati Bengals shocked the world, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs and coming within a late Rams drive of winning the Super Bowl. During that playoff run, Joe Burrow played like the first overall pick in the NFL Draft.
If the Bengals want any hope of getting back to the Super Bowl and winning, they have to address some issues on their roster. Cincinnati did manage the Bengals’ front office and addressed some of those issues during free agency.
The Bengals invested heavily along the offensive line during the free agency period. Cincy signed free agent La’el Collins, guard Alex Cappa, and center Ted Karras. That allows the Bengals to focus on defense if they so choose.
However, if one of the many good offensive linemen falls this far, Cincinnati must consider taking them. The Bengals would find it difficult not to take Trevor Penning (Northern Iowa), Berhard Raiman (Central Michigan), or Tyler Linderbaum (Iowa).
One place the Bengals have an immediate need is a defensive back. Cincinnati finished 26th in the league in pass yards allowed. The defensive line could be a place where they look because you can never have too many pass rushers in this league.
