The 2022 college football season is drawing closer with spring ball in the books and here’s what the top 25 teams look like right now.

Spring ball is in the books and for us college football fans, that just means the last obstacle before our beloved sport is back is staring us right in the face.

The dog days of summer are tough when it comes to waiting for college football to return, but headlines will be filled with transfer portal news and recruiting leading up to August and after that, it’ll be all depth charts and projections for the season.

The spring was already loaded with some intriguing headlines — most notably Jordan Addison entering the transfer portal and Pat Narduzzi accusing Lincoln Riley of tampering.

This past coaching carousel, too, has shaken everything up as some of the nation’s top programs will be fielding new head coaches. Programs like Notre Dame, LSU, Florida, USC, Oklahoma, Miami, Oregon, and Washington are all under the direction of new head coaches and that comes a year after other major coaching changes at Michigan State, Baylor, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Texas, among others.

College football will look a lot different heading into the 2022 season with a handful of big-name transfers — such as Caleb Williams — on the move and coaches adjusting to their new homes.

Now that spring ball is in the books, here’s a look at my latest Top 25 power rankings.
