Georgia makes sense

The bulldogs have always made sense for Arch Manning. The Manning family has a good relationship with Kirby Smart and the 5-star always seemed destined to play in the SEC.

Georgia, like Alabama, can sell the fact that it’s already an elite college football program after winning the national championship in 2021. The Bulldogs have also won the SEC championship under Smart and if UGA was able to sign Manning, it would be frightening.

While Georgia hasn’t recruited quarterbacks as well as Alabama, the Bulldogs did sign five-star Brock Vandagriff in the 2021 recruiting class and it will be interesting to see if he’s able to get any playing time in 2022.

Regardless of where Manning winds up, he’s going to have to compete against some talented quarterbacks, but at Georgia, it’s easier to see him starting for sure on day one.

A Manning-Ewers QB battle at Texas would be fascinating and who knows if it would really happen with the transfer portal, but at UGA, Manning would probably be the starter from day one and never look back.

Georgia is listed as having a 29-percent chance at getting Manning according to the On3.com prediction machine, but I feel like the Bulldogs’ chances are better than that.

Texas might offer more excitement, but Georgia offers the total package. Yet, Alabama could too and the Longhorns appear to have the Tide beat. Now, it’s just about the Bulldogs.
