Key crystal ball projections for Texas A&M football, Florida, Alabama and Ohio State
The 2023 college football recruiting class is heating up and here’s a look at some of the latest crystal ball projections for Texas A&M football, Bama, Florida, and Ohio State.
We all know that crystal ball projections and other predictions from recruiting experts aren’t set in stone and they aren’t commitments, which really aren’t official until signing day.
Still, the recruiting industry exists because these guys are generally right about their information and their predictions and that’s what Texas A&M football fans will be hoping for after they see some of the latest crystal ball predictions for the Aggies.
Texas A&M football is building on what was the highest-ranked recruiting class in the history of the 247 sports composite rankings, and the Aggies are off to a strong start in 2023 too — a start that could get even better.
Not only have the Aggies started to trend with top-40 wide receiver Hykeem Williams, a South Florida prospect who recently visited and got crystal ball projections from Steve Wiltfong, a national analyst for 247 sports, as well as Andrew Ivins who is the recruiting expert in the Miami area so his crystal ball with a confidence level of six (1-10 scale) is huge.
Another huge projection for Aggies, but one for Alabama too
A&M has six pledges so far in 2023 but none on the offensive side of the ball. Eli Holstein was committed but he re-opened his recruitment and he’s now trending to Alabama. There was one crystal ball projection and now, two others have followed.
Yet, in another interesting note, Dylan Lonergan, a four-star quarterback that was trending with picks to South Carolina, scheduled an official visit to Alabama.
While the Gamecocks are the leader, Alabama, Georgia, and others that miss out on Arch Manning could be waiting to jump into the mix, although it will be interesting to see what happens with Holstein as it seems like Alabama would take his commitment at this point.
Back to the Aggies. Even though things aren’t going all that well at quarterback, don’t count out Texas A&M football for five-star QBs Dante Moore or Jaden Rashada. And in more good news, Anthony Hill got another crystal ball projection to A&M this one coming from Wiltfong, which is a big deal.
Wiltfong uses his picks as more of a current standing in the recruitment, instead of a prediction per se, but the Aggies are the clear leader for the nation’s top linebacker and the No. 2 player in the state of Texas, and winning his commitment would be massive.
