UCLA Football: Top 3 prospects for 2023 NFL Draft

The 2022 NFL Draft is in the books and some former UCLA football players have new homes. Who could be selected in the 2023 NFL Draft?

Chip Kelly has returned the UCLA football program to relevance and it feels like it’s only a matter of time before he’s playing for a Pac-12 title.

In order for that to happen, though, he needs to recruit at a high level and churn out NFL prospects.

The latter will be monitored closely over the next few years after six players were selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. It was the best UCLA had done in the NFL draft since 2016 when seven Bruins heard their names called.

Will the Bruins have an even better showing in the 2023 NFL Draft? Here are the top prospects.

I was close to putting Grayson and Gabriel Murphy in this spot after transferring in from North Texas, but the defensive ends will only be redshirt sophomores and I think they may need two years at the Power Five level before being truly ready.

I like Jake Bobo as a potential NFL receiver and he clearly has the size.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound wideout had a quiet first two seasons with the Blue Devils and then his production picked up in 2020 with 32 catches for 358 yards and a touchdown. In 2021, he had 74 catches for 794 yards and a touchdown. He could afford to prove himself as a serious red-zone threat but he’s more of a possession receiver right now.

Bobo has the potential to make a name for himself this season and earn a spot on an NFL roster in 2023, but he needs to add to his touchdown total.
