5-star S Joenel Aguero

While the Bulldogs have three top-100 commitments and five four-star recruits already pledged for the 2023 class, they haven’t signed a five-star yet.

However, that drought looks like it will come to an end, at least by next month, as five-star safety Joenel Aguero is expected to announce his commitment on July 23rd and the Bulldogs look to be in the pole position for the second-ranked safety and No. 34 overall prospect.

Aguero, who is out of Massachusetts, visited Georgia football last week and also has a visit set for Miami this month, as well as Ohio State in November. We’ll see if he sticks with that visit and his commitment date, but right now, it’s trending the right way for the Dawgs.

4-star RB Justice Haynes

We all know about Georgia’s history of churning out elite running backs and that’s why it’s important for the Bulldogs to add another talented back to the stable, especially when there is one so close to home as there is with four-star Justice Haynes.

He’s the only non-five-star recruit on the list, but Haynes is still an elite prospect and is ranked fourth overall among running backs according to the 247 sports composite rankings, as well as 53rd overall.

Haynes took his first official visit this month to Georgia and followed that up with a trip to Florida, while Alabama, USC, and Ohio State are also getting official visits.

Yet, four crystal ball projections have already gone the way of Georgia football and I don’t see anyone else swaying the Buford, Georgia recruit to leave his home state.
