The quarterback dominoes are falling after Arch Manning’s commitment as Miami football is trending with Jaden Rashada and Oregon football is looking good with Dante Moore.

After one of the most widely-followed recruitments in recent memory, Arch Manning committed on Thursday to the University of Texas.

While some have questioned the move based on the Longhorns’ recent history, if anyone is going to turn it around down in Texas, it’s Arch Manning.

The commitment also signaled that we were about to see more major movement in the 2023 recruiting class among quarterbacks.

Now that Manning is committed, there are three top-10 signal-callers left in the class: Dante Moore (No. 4), Jaden Rashada (No. 7), and Dylan Lonergan (No. 9). Moore is a five-star, while Rashada and Lonergan are four-star prospects.

At any rate, Lonergan is deciding on July 5th and South Carolina seems to be the destination, although Stanford is in the mix and Georgia might make a push now that it missed on Arch.

However, the next QB to commit is likely going to be Jaden Rashada (June 26).

The four-star QB from Pittsburgh, California, has been all over the place in his recruitment. Oregon was the leader at one time, then Florida.

Ole Miss was also right there. But after taking an official visit to Miami football (after he delayed his original June 18 commitment date), the Hurricanes have started trending with expert picks and now have a 75-percent chance to get his commitment on Sunday according to the On3 prediction machine as a number of experts have put in picks for the U.

If that happens, it will be huge for Mario Cristobal and Miami football who also landed three-star Emory Williams at QB in the 2023 class this week. Williams will be a name to watch in terms of other teams trying to flip him because as we said, the options are running thin, but Miami will take the risk because Jaden Rashada is a top-50 overall prospect and a massive recruiting win.

Dante Moore gets crystal ball to Oregon football

Following reports that five-star QB Dante Moore will take an unofficial visit to Oregon football this weekend, the Ducks have emerged as the favorite to land his commitment.

Not only has Oregon football surged into the lead according to the On3 prediction machine which gives the Ducks a 29-percent chance to win out, but Steve Wiltfong, the national analyst for 247 sports, put in a crystal ball on Thursday with a confidence level of six (1-10 scale).

That’s huge but it doesn’t mean it’s over. Oregon football has been trying to overcome the distance factor but this will be the second trip this spring/summer for Moore to Oregon.

It’s probably the final trip to see for Dante Moore to see if he feels comfortable making a commitment and as long as Oregon football nails this unofficial visit, it should be landing the five-star prospect from Michigan’s backyard in Detroit and the No. 8 player in the entire 2023 class.
