The Alabama football team fell short of a national title in 2021. In 2022, they’ll look to reload, and will contend for yet another national title.

Alabama football is such a monster program, that not winning the national championship could be considered a failed season. Still, though, they finished 13-2 and won the SEC title.

Key to that success were players such as running back Brian Robinson and wide receivers Jameson Williams and John Metchie. Both, however, are gone, as are players such as left tackle – and top-end draft pick – Evan Neal, defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis, and beastly passing rushing backer Christian Harris.

But, they’ve got two of the top five players in college football coming back. That’s right; pass rusher Will Anderson and Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young are back this year. Anderson should have been invited to New York City for a Heisman nomination, and Young really needs no introduction, given what he did in 2021.

As well as Anderson and Young, they’ve got Henry To’o To’o back at linebacker, as well as freshman sensation Dallas Carter on defense. Offensively, they’ve brought in two exciting new transfers in former Georgia receiver Jermaine Burton, and Georgia Tech running back Jahmyr Gibbs.

The Tide’s schedule is tough, but manageably so, given the level of talent Alabama has. In other words, this team will be right back in contention for another national championship in 2022.
