Although I’m not 100 percent sold on Texas A&M being a legit threat to Alabama in the SEC West, I do think this could be the battle for second place and potentially a New Year’s Six game.

Quarterback play for the Aggies should improve with Haynes King and Max Johnson duking it out for the starting job and Devon Achane is a legit Heisman threat at running back. The defense, too, will be really good, especially with the No. 1 recruiting class loaded with five-star linemen coming in.

This is usually a really good neutral site game and the 2022 matchup will be no different.

Are you shocked to see Alabama at No. 1 on this list? You shouldn’t be.

The Crimson Tide will be the best team in college football next season, in my opinion, and they return the nation’s top quarterback and reigning Heisman winner, Bryce Young.

This matchup was decided by just a touchdown in Tuscaloosa last year but I think the 2022 battle will be slightly more lopsided. Alabama is really just that good.

Next. 5 programs that could be the next dynasty. dark
