Everyone is expecting big things from Ohio State football in 2022 after missing the Big Ten title in 2021. Will the schedule prevent that?

The 2021 season was a rough one for Ohio State football fans. The program that had gotten so used to running away with a Big Ten title every year was knocked out of the championship game in the final week of the regular season with a loss to rival Michigan.

Yeah, it was rough.

Michigan fans have rubbed that 42-27 win over Ohio State and Big Ten title in the Buckeyes’ faces all offseason and you just know that’s driving Ryan Day insane.

The schedule is lining up nicely to help the Buckeyes deliver another Big Ten title to Columbus, but how do the opponents rank against each other in terms of toughness?

Arkansas State Red Wolves. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Columbus, Ohio. 12. player. 2405. Sept. 10

Arkansas State is fresh off a 2-10 season in 2021 and Butch Jones has his work cut out for him. There’s expected to be some improvement this coming year, but will it be enough to even challenge Ohio State for a quarter? I doubt it. This game will be over very early and I’d be shocked if the Red Wolves even scored.

It might be surprising to see Toledo at No. 11 because the Rockets are usually one of the better teams from the MAC, but compared to the rest of the opponents on Ohio State’s schedule, they’re not going to pose much of a problem to the Buckeyes.

The Rockets bring back eight starters on offense and eight more on defense so the returning production in top-notch and Jason Candle is a solid coach, but they’re not going to touch OSU.
