Ohio State Football: Ranking 2022 opponents by toughness
Penn State may have been just 7-6 last year after a 5-0 start to the season, but the Nittany Lions played Ohio State tough, losing 33-24 in Columbus. Penn State lost four games by four points or fewer, so it could have easily been 11-2 instead of 7-6.
Sean Clifford is back at quarterback for another season and his experience will help in this matchup and this White Out atmosphere on Halloween weekend is going to be as daunting as any game on the Buckeyes’ schedule.
This rivalry will eventually go Penn State’s way.
For now, Michigan is going to be the toughest game on Ohio State’s schedule until the Buckeyes reclaim that winning streak which I believe they will this year.
Michigan was 12-2 last year, beat Ohio State by two touchdowns in the season finale, won the Big Ten, and made the College Football Playoff. Although the Wolverines are losing some serious talent from that playoff team, they’re going to be the toughest test for the Buckeyes.
The Game is back, and it’s going to be a movie in Columbus to end the year.
