4. Oklahoma football

Brent Venables was another head coach that was being criticized because of a lack of recruiting success somewhat recently, which tells you that sometimes fans just need to relax.

The Sooners already picked up their top-ranked commitment, Jackson Arnold, much earlier in the process but his ranking has improved to 16th overall now and recently, the Sooners have been cleaning up on both sides of the ball.

Oklahoma football added four commitments from players ranked in the top 101 as defensive lineman Derrick LeBlanc (No. 101) and Adepoju Adebawore (No. 51) pledged along with top-100 offensive tackle Cayden Green and top-100 wideout Jaquaize Pettaway.

The Sooners now have the sixth-ranked class overall and that is thanks to nine commitments total in July, with each of them ranking 553rd overall or higher according to the 247 sports composite rankings.
