The Arkansas football team is poised to take another leap forward in 2022, can they do so with one of the toughest schedules in the country?

The Arkansas football team, under the direction of Head Coach Sam Pittman, looks to build on an incredibly successful season when they take the field in 2022.

Coming off a 9-4 season in which they swept their “trophy games” for the first time in program history against Texas A&M (Southwest Classic), LSU (Battle for the Golden Boot), and Missouri (Battle Line Rivalry), things continue to trend upward for the Razorbacks.

The Hogs have lost a few players to the transfer portal and to the NFL Draft, but they’ve been able to retool through the recruiting trail and brought in plenty of transfer talent themselves.

Plus, there’s plenty of opportunity for returning non-starters to step up and help this team win ball games.

The good news is the team’s best offensive player and best defensive starters from 2021 return in QB KJ Jefferson and S Jalen Catalon, respectively.

Keeping Jefferson healthy enough to play through the rigors of the SEC will be challenging, but will be a little easier with most of his offensive line returning. Catalon will be competing, hopefully at full health, after sustaining a season-ending injury against Texas A&M last season in Week 4.

The Hogs are going to need all the help they can get with them facing what ESPN’s Chris Lowe calls the “toughest overall Power 5 schedule” in the country.

Let’s take a look at three bold predictions for this Arkansas football team for the 2022 season.
