The 2022 season is right around the corner and here’s a look at the first slate of games with five predictions for college football Week 0.

It’s hard to believe but the 2022 college football season is just a few weeks away and we don’t even have to wait for Week1.

College football Week 0 is once again loaded with games as August 27th will feature a total of 11 games with teams from the Big Ten, SEC, and ACC, all in action.

There aren’t any top-25 matchups, but there are some intriguing college football Week 0 games led by Nebraska-Northwestern, as well as Illinois-Wyoming, UConn-Utah State, and more.

We won’t offer a prediction on every game for college football Week 0, but we’ve got five (general) bold predictions for the first weekend of college football in 2022.

College football fans will watch Week 0 in droves

This isn’t necessarily a bold prediction but there’s a reason we have 11 games in Week 0 of the season. People are starved for football and they will tune in to watch.

The audience won’t be what it will be for Week 1 of the season when there are tons of marquee matchups on the slate, but this isn’t preseason football either.

There are real bullets flying and some pretty big names playing on that first weekend, led of course by Nebraska football and head coach Scott Frost, who really, really, really, needs a good start to the season against Northwestern.

Jim Mora Jr. is making his return to college football and Timmy Chang is back at Hawaii taking on an SEC opponent. It’s not Week 1, but if you’re reading this website, there’s a good chance you are tuning in for Week 0 of the college football season.
