Nebraska football will actually win a close game

Things have not gone as expected for Scott Frost as the head coach of Nebraska football. But he’s got a new offensive coaching staff and one last chance to get it right, or at least show some progress.

Last season, Nebraska played in Week 0 of the college football season and fell flat on its face against Illinois. That loss set the tone for a 3-9 season that included one win in the Big Ten.

That victory came over Northwestern, the Week 0 opponent for Nebraska football. The two teams will meet in Dublin and the Huskers are the favorite, especially after a 56-7 shellacking last season in Lincoln.

On the Northwestern side of things, Pat Fitzgerald will have his team ready. But it’s not as talented as Nebraska and one of its best players, Brandon Joseph, transferred to Notre Dame.

But the Wildcats always play hard and they’ll give Nebraska football a battle. But in a shock, the Huskers and their new QB Casey Thompson, don’t lose their composure and find a way to win by 10 thanks to a strong fourth quarter.
