The 2022 college football season is almost upon us and the first AP Top 25 will feel like the last obstacle. Here’s how I think the preseason Top 25 will look.

Folks, it’s August. Do you know what that means? College football is back, baby.

In just a few short weeks, teams will take the field to kick off Week 0 in college football and while those may not be the most enticing matchups, it’ll feel like Alabama and Georgia to the most depraved fan. That Nebraska vs. Northwestern game is going to draw everyone’s attention and feel like a playoff game — until good football returns a week later, obviously.

But before teams can take the field, AP voters must cast their ballots for the preseason Top 25. That’s where we come into play. We’re going to give our best guess of what the AP Top 25 will look like before Week 0.

Will Georgia top the rankings after winning a national title in 2021? Will Nick Saban and Alabama be back on top where they belong? Will it be a team like Ohio State that takes over the top spot after a “disappointing” season?

There’s so much to look forward to this season and it starts with those playoff contenders and trickles all the way down to the last team in the Top 25.

Here’s how I believe the preseason AP Top 25 will look.
