Florida Football: Game-by-game predictions for the 2022 season

Eastern Washington is usually one of the best teams in the FCS and the Eagles have actually won six Big Sky titles since 2010.

Still, that won’t mean a ton here as the SEC isn’t the same as the FCS.

The Eagles are still going to score some points here and the Gators will struggle a little in the first half, but they’ll run away with a three-score win in Gainesville.

Prediction: Win (4-1)

Eli Drinkwitz might just be on the hot seat this season after posting a losing record in his second year as head coach. He also lost Connor Bazelak to the transfer portal as he ended up at Indiana this offseason.

Florida should take advantage of these circumstances and the fact that this game will be played in Gainesville.

This will be a nice confidence-booster near the beginning of SEC play and it’ll give the Gators a winning record in conference play before a gauntlet.

Prediction: Win (5-1, 2-1)
