Notre Dame football brings in an impressive freshman class in 2022 and these are the three guys who I could see starting at some point.
Great programs reload instead of rebuilding every so often and with the Irish losing their starting quarterback, two-time 1,000-yard rusher, and All-American safety, they’ll have to reload in 2022.
Notre Dame brings in an impressive recruiting class that will help it rebuild this season and there are a handful of guys who could legitimately start for the top-five team.
Which Notre Dame true freshmen could start at some point this season?
Notre Dame is bringing back essentially the entire offensive line from last season which is undoubtedly going to improve the offense from its 45th ranking from last year.
The line is going to pave the way for a solid run game led by Chris Tyree and Logan Diggs.
But there’s always a chance that one guy might get injured or just fall short of expectations and open the door for a younger, hungrier player. That’s where I think Billy Schrauth will come into play. He’s one of the best offensive line prospects from the 2022 class and he enrolled early so he could get a chance to play right away.
Josh Lugg, Jarrett Patterson, and Andrew Kristofic are the projected starters on the interior, but I could see Schrauth playing his way into the two-deep and potentially even the starting lineup.
