With the college football season set to begin, which teams aren’t getting enough respect? Here are the three most underrated teams for 2022.

Folks, college football is back.

Week 0 is officially upon us and the most diehard, action-hungry of college football fans will be glued to the TV all day on Aug. 27, hoping for great games from start to finish.

Realistically, that won’t happen. The headliner game of the day is Nebraska vs. Northwestern in Ireland and the second-best game is probably UTEP vs. North Texas. Illinois also takes the field to face Wyoming, North Carolina will play Florida A&M (which apparently only has seven eligible offensive linemen), and Florida State is hoping to avoid a slip-up against Duquesne.

There are some Power Five teams taking the field, but this is a chance for teams like Hawaii, Nevada, UTEP, and North Texas, among others, to really put on a show.

But none of the teams playing on Saturday are really on the College Football Playoff radar for the 2022 season and for that reason, none can really be considered “overrated” enough to make the list I created on Friday afternoon — although Nebraska fans are hyping this team up a ton.

Are any of the Week 0 games featuring underrated teams, though? Let’s find out.
