Season Predictions
Yeah, I’ve got the Aggies at 11-1 this year. Some may say that is crazy, but let’s look at the schedule. The first two games shouldn’t be all that competitive and then you get Miami, your first big test, at home at night.
Kyle Field should be rocking for that one and the 12th Man will make a big difference for the home team — just ask Nick Saban how that goes. Then, you go to Dallas for the yearly Southwest Classic with Arkansas and while the Razorbacks got the better of Calzada, Spiller, and the Ags last season, I think that this team is ready for KJ Jefferson this year- especially when he is without Treylon Burks now who left for the NFL. While on that revenge tour, after taking down Arkansas, Texas A&M will be able to take care of the cowbells in Starkville without the struggle we saw last season, barring any injuries at this point in the season.
I am going to go ahead and chalk Alabama up to a loss. Nick Saban doesn’t lose to teams back-to-back, it just doesn’t happen very often and it won’t happen for the Aggies this year. No “lighting in a bottle in Tuscaloosa” this year. South Carolina has yet to prove that they can beat the Aggies and I don’t think that having Spencer Rattler changes that for them. Ole Miss is trying to replace one of the better quarterbacks in Rebel history and that won’t be easy for them, so I think at Kyle Field the Aggies get a win over a team that has been a thorn in their side for years.
Then, you welcome Florida to town and that team has more question marks than anyone I have ever seen. That is a win for the Aggies. Auburn is a mess and that is putting it nicely, so that is another win, even if it is on the road. UMass should be an easy one and LSU? The final stop on the Aggies’ revenge tour.
Final Prediction? 11-1 and at least a New Years Six bowl game.
