We get two editions of ESPN College GameDay this week as the crew heads to Pittsburgh for the first time since 2005 on Thursday night.

For the first time in almost two decades, College GameDay is headed to Pittsburgh to cover one of the bigger Panthers games in recent memory.

Following an ACC title-winning season, Pitt opens the 2022 campaign with the Backyard Brawl which is a rivalry game between the Panthers and West Virginia Mountaineers. These two sides don’t like each other and we’ll all get to see that firsthand on Thursday night to kick off Week 1 of the college football season.

With college football returning this weekend, ESPN decided it would run two College GameDay episodes. The first is a smaller preview on Thursday for the Pitt vs. West Virginia game and the second will come on Saturday for a massive top-five matchup in Columbus.

Thursday night’s West Virginia vs. Pitt game will be one to keep an eye on and ESPN clearly wants it to be played in front of a national audience or else GameDay would have headed to Purdue vs. Penn State instead.

Us college football fans are spoiled and we get a nice appetizer before Saturday’s main course.

Here’s how you can watch Week 1’s first College GameDay edition online:

Date: Thursday, Sept. 1
Time: 6 p.m. ET
Location: Pittsburgh, Penn.
TV: ESPN
Live Stream: WatchESPN or FuboTV

We’re spoiled so we’ll get to see the crew regroup in Columbus on Saturday for the huge Notre Dame vs. Ohio State matchup. College football is back, folks.
