3. Houston will narrowly escape the Alamodome with the win

Make no mistake, UTSA is a great football team, but Houston has just a little bit more speed, just a little bit more strength, and just a little bit more talent than UTSA right now.

A great home crowd will help UTSA on defense, but Houston quarterback Clayton Tune is just too good. He’s one of the best quarterbacks in the country and will put it on display in this Week 1 game.

Houston head coach Dana Holgorsen will have this team prepared and ready to compete from the get-go. Don’t let his righteous mullet distract you (seriously, ESPN calls his hair a “chaotic work of art”) from the fact that he’s a coach with a ton of experience at every level.

He’s got a ton of talent on both sides of the ball and has an extremely talented quarterback. This team has its eyes and expectations set on competing for a national championship.

UTSA knows this and they’re going to do everything in their power to ensure Houston remains winless in Week 1 for the fourth consecutive season.

The Cougars are ready to buck that trend, but it’s going to be an absolute battle. Whoever can take care of the ball and limit turnovers is likely going to win this game, which most sports books are anticipating to be a four-point game.
