Week 12: Georgia at Kentucky

You have to wait till Week 12 for this one, but it is a matchup worth waiting for; at least we hope it is. Georgia is going to be the best in the East this year, there is no question in my mind about that. However, Will Levis and his team are ready to fight for that spot. This one could be a very important matchup in the East assuming Kentucky finds a way to be undefeated coming into this. I’m not sure that will be the case, but like I have said crazier things have happened.

Honorable Mention: Ole Miss at Arkansas

Ole Miss and Arkansas getting together is like a family reunion with your crazy uncles, just a wild matchup year after year. I don’t expect this year to be any different either. Look for both of these teams to be ready, at least for this one, and for things to get really interesting in Fayetteville. I’ve got the Razorbacks for now, but things are very fluid in the middle of the SEC West this year and you will see that from the start of the season to the finish.

Week 13: LSU at Texas A&M

I know what you are thinking, where is the Iron Bowl? Well, sorry to break it to you, but that game won’t be competitive this year. Auburn is not good and is a 7-5 team at best and now Alabama is at worst an 11-1 team. That isn’t a game of the week kind of pick, so we go with LSU and the Aggies — a game that is a lot more competitive in recent years than it was prior to that seven OT thriller in 2018. I’ve got the Aggies in this one, but it will be a dog fight — it always seems to be, outside of the 2019 absolute drubbing by Joe Burrow and the Tigers of course.

Honorable Mention: Mississippi State at Ole Miss

The Egg Bowl is a fun game every year. This year, it is Ole Miss trying to replace some big names and Mississippi State trying to prove that Mike Leach is the coach for them. This one is full of question marks that will finally be figured out by the time this game rolls around. Who wins the state of Mississippi this year? I’d put my money on Ole Miss as I don’t believe in Mississippi State, but who knows man, who knows.
