Do not let the final score fool you. The Huskers struggled with North Dakota. It was tied 7-7 at the half and the teams were tied again at 17 points apiece deep into the 3rd quarter. Three additional touchdowns made the score a lot more comfortable for Nebraska fans.

This game did nothing to squash the fears that we are heading towards a departing of ways for Scott Frost and Nebraska. It could come as early as October 1st when the buyout for Frost is cut in half.

The Hoosiers were outgained, had nine fewer first downs, and lost the time of possession battle to the Illini. No matter because they still got the win 23-20 Friday night.

Indiana was down 20-16 with a little over two minutes to go in the game, needing a touchdown. The Hoosiers drove 12 plays in just under two minutes, capped by Shaun Shivers one-yard touchdown run.

This was a big win for the Hoosiers, their first victory in Big Ten football conference play since December 2020. They will look to keep the momentum going next week versus Idaho.

Rutgers was down by six points late in the game against Boston College when they were starting a drive from their own four-yard line. Twelve plays and 96 yards later, all on the ground, the Scarlet Knights hit pay dirt and held on for a one-point victory.

This was a solid win for a program looking to move up in the conference in Greg Schiano’s third year back. Rutgers should be able to pick up win number two on the year against Wagner next week.
