Can a Group of Five team make the College Football Playoff again?
By Dante Pryor
The Cincinnati Bearcats made the College Football Playoff last season. Can another Group of Five team make it this season?

Welcome to the Group of Five College Football Playoff watch. For years many have said that a Group of Five team would never make the CFP, but Cincinnati proved everyone wrong last year. Here we are this year wondering if there could be a repeat performance by a Group of Five team.
If there is, it likely won’t be Cincy because of their loss to Arkansas. Another team thought to be in the running, San Diego State, lost their home opener to Arizona. Any team from the Group of Five needs to run the table and hope for at least three two-loss Power Five conference champions.
Without that stroke of luck, the Group of Five is relegated to its annual New Year’s Six appearance. Both the Bearcats and Aztecs are still in the running for the NY6 bowl bid despite their early season losses.
Who can make it? Here are three teams with the inside track.
