No. 6 Texas A&M football (-17) vs Appalachian State

No college football power should be excited about having Appalachian State on the schedule. The Mountaineers always seem to be dangerous and returned some key pieces from a team that won 10 games last season.

One of those pieces is the quarterback Chase Brice who threw six touchdown passes last week compared to one interception in a 63-61 loss to North Carolina.

Now, the Tar Heels aren’t the Aggies. But Texas A&M football didn’t exactly run away from Sam Houston last week. Haynes King is back as the starting quarterback and while he threw for 364 yards and three scores last week, he also threw two interceptions.

King is probably licking his chops at the prospect of facing a defense that allowed 63 points to North Carolina, especially with guys like Evan Stewart and Ainias Smith to throw the ball to, but App State always finds a way to scare teams and it wouldn’t be shocking if they put a scare into Texas A&M football on Saturday.
