Missouri at Kansas State (-8)

This is another SEC-Big 12 matchup that we’ll see in College Football Week 2 and while it’s not going to get the national attention of Texas-Alabama, it’s bound to be the more competitive game.

Kansas State looked impressive last week in a 34-0 win over South Dakota, but it was still just South Dakota. Deuce Vaughn ran for over 100 yards and new QB Adrian Martinez didn’t really have to do much, outside of a touchdown run.

Missouri has a new quarterback in Brady Cook and the offense looked really good against Louisana Tech. Five-star wideout Luther Burden caught a touchdown and ran for a touchdown.

To me, this game comes down to if Vaughn can take over. He’s going to need to run the ball better than he did a week ago because if Kansas State is relying on Adrian Martinez to win this game with his arm, it’s not going to happen.

That’s why Missouri is a good bet this week against the spread and to pull the upset outright in Manhattan this Saturday.
