South Carolina at No. 16 Arkansas (-8)

Arkansas impressed the voters last week with a 31-24 win over Cincinnati but that also wasn’t last year’s Bearcats team. Still, it looks more impressive than the 21-point win put together by South Carolina over Georgia State of the Sun Belt.

Both teams have dynamic quarterbacks in KJ Jefferson for Arkansas and Spencer Rattler for South Carolina. Jefferson accounted for four total touchdowns last week including one on the ground and didn’t turn the ball over at all.

If that happens again, the Hogs should win and they play well at home. However, the defense was a little leaky last week and Rattler should be able to take advantage. He threw two interceptions last week, so it’s easy to discount him but he’s incredibly talented still.

If the Gamecocks can protect for him and establish some sort of running game, Rattler should be able to have a solid day and if the special teams can deliver a big play or two like last week, it could be the perfect recipe for an upset, especially with the Hogs coming off a big win.

You always have to worry about a letdown.
