The Clemson Tigers pulled away late against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Monday night. What other interesting ACC football things happened?

Welcome back to headquarters on the corner of Tobacco Road and the power grid of the “Electric Carrier Dome.” Who would have thought that after two weeks of ACC football (we don’t get how you get games in a zero week) that Florida State would be undefeated, and North Carolina gave up 40 points — in a quarter. The state university of New Jersey (aka Rutgers) would beat Boston College.

North Carolina State needed one of the epic choke jobs by a kicker (a missed PAT and field goal?) to escape with a win against East Carolina, and what is with ACC teams going to Group of Five Stadiums? Someone has clearly had one mint julep too many in the ACC conference offices.

Clemson took a half to get going, and there might be a quarterback controversy in Death Valley East. DJ Uiagalelei was decent against the Yellow Jackets, but Cade Klubnik looked like the present against the Ramblin’ Wreck.

So, to the future site of the David Cutcliffe memorial trophy, the rivalry that is trying to be one, and Florida schools being back here are the ACC Power Rankings heading into Week 2.
