An action-packed Week 2 of college football is here and it’s time to make some predictions and picks for the top games of the week.

After slowly easing into things with Week 0, college football got off to a boisterous bang in Week 1 with games happening for five consecutive days.

There’s a lot we learned from Week 1: Notre Dame and Ohio State dazzled, Georgia and Alabama showed everyone that they’re the top dogs (once again), USC is back and every bit as good as advertised, and maybe we all were wrong about the Florida Gators in the preseason.

What will we learn in Week 2 of college football? I’m serving up predictions and my picks for the best games being played this week. Let’s get to them, starting with the best Friday night game of the week.

Louisville at UCF (Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2)

This is a rematch of last season’s Week 3 matchup when UCF traveled to Louisville and lost the game in the final seconds after the Cardinals picked off QB Dillon Gabriel and scored a pick-six to break a 35-all tie.

Louisville scored just seven points last week in the loss to Syracuse while UCF racked up

QB Malik Cunningham is going to have a hard time making adjustments at the Bounce House in Orlando. He’s prone to throwing interceptions (two last week) and had a Week 1 QBR of 25.6.

His UCF counterpart, John Rhys Plumlee, looked electric last week. He had 308 passing yards, 86 rushing yards, and 5 total touchdowns. The Knights are going to score a lot of points and I don’t think Louisville has the firepower to keep up.

Pick: UCF -6.0
