College football Week 2 TV schedule 2022: How to binge-watch
By Kathryn Rose
There are only two games on Friday; you’ll watch both at some point
- Louisville at UCF (7:30 p.m. on ESPN2)
Scott Satterfield may have a target on his back at Louisville now. The Cardinals lost 31-7 to Syracuse and allowed 449 yards of total offense against the Orange.
It’s a bad time for this team to be coming in to take on a hot UCF team at the Bounce House in Orlando. John Rhys Plumlee was a revelation against South Carolina State, putting up 308 yards through the air, as well as 86 yards on the ground. Of course, South Carolina State is an FCS opponent, so the numbers must be taken lightly, but UCF should have a lot of fun this year.
- Boise State at New Mexico (9 p.m. on CBS Sports Network)
Both of these programs have no juice, but have lost their juice in different ways. For New Mexico, it never had any to begin with. Sure, a 41-0 win against Maine is good, but this is still a rebuilding team with a long, long way to go.
Boise State, on the other hand, didn’t look competitive against Oregon State at all. Some of that is due to Oregon State being underrated, but Andy Avalos’ second season as Bronco head man is looking a lot like the first. They should be able to get back on track with a win against New Mexico in Albuquerque.
