2. Alabama looked beat-able.

In the last few years, Alabama has been the king of the SEC West and things are not looking that way in 2022. This game showed that the defense can be shown to be weak in places and the offense, while Bryce Young had all the time in the world and the offensive line improved from a week ago, wasn’t as explosive as years (and week) past. They were favored by 20 points in this game and only won by one, that is not what Alabama wanted in this one.

They face off against Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Tennessee in the upcoming weeks after they get a tune-up against UL Monroe and Vanderbilt (they hope). Those games are going to be a lot closer than they are comfortable with. if they play the way they did against Texas. Outside of those three games, the schedule is pretty favorable, but things aren’t looking great in Tuscaloosa right now and I am sure Nick Saban isn’t happy about it.
