College Football Rankings 2022: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 3
We didn’t learn a ton about Clemson from the opener, but a blowout win over Georgia Tech silenced the DJ Uiagalelei critics, even for a little bit.
How would the often-criticized quarterback follow up that performance? He had 231 yards and a couple of touchdowns on 21-of-27 completions. He did have an interception, but he looked solid and even added 36 yards on the ground. He looked better than Cade Klubnik did in garbage time as he threw for -2 yards on 1-of-4 completions.
Will Shipley looked solid, leading the team with a couple of rushing touchdowns on 68 yards on 6.8 per carry but no one really looked exceptionally great against Furman.
Clemson will take this comfortable win over the Paladins and head into Week 3 with a 2-0 record and top-five ranking. I’m still not sure why Michigan jumped the Tigers after beating Colorado State.
