Although they didn’t exactly look like a top-10 team on Saturday night against a fairly mediocre Arizona State team, the Cowboys are going to sneak into the top 10 thanks to losses by Notre Dame and Texas A&M.

Spencer Sanders went from looking great in the opener to average, at best, against Arizona State. He wasn’t accurate and made some mistakes, but luckily his defense picked him up as the Cowboys were able to shut the door on the Sun Devils, for the most part.

Oklahoma State might have the best defense in the Big 12 this season and while that may be great news, the offense still needs to catch up. Sanders can’t play like he did on Saturday moving forward or the Cowboys will have no shot at the conference title.

Expect Oklahoma State to slide up into the top 10 this week though, even if it’s not exactly earned.
