1. Miami football has the superior backfield

For the first time this century, Miami had a player rush for 100-plus yards in each of his first two games as a Hurricane, according to Miami’s game notes.

Henry Parrish Jr., the Ole Miss transfer rushed for 108 yards and 109 yards in his first two games with the Canes. His 37 rushing attempts also netted him four rushing touchdowns.

Parrish Jr. has outrushed the entire Texas A&M football team by himself, which is sort of a crazy stat if you think about it.

  • Parrish this season: 37 rushes, 217 yards, 4 touchdowns
  • Texas A&M this season: 50 rushes, 193 yards, 2 touchdowns (six players)

And Parrish is no stranger to Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies. As a member of Ole Miss, he carved up Texas A&M for 58 yards despite having just nine of his team’s 56 rushing attempts.

But, Parrish isn’t the only one steamrolling defenses for Miami. Thaddius Franklin Jr. a sophomore out of West Park, Fla., has racked up 127 rushing yards and three touchdowns himself so far this season.

If the Hurricanes get their ground game rolling, the Aggies could be in for a long day (for the second week in a row).
