Kansas at Houston (-9)

Is Kansas football for real? That’s a question that college football fans are asking and it’s legit after the Jayhawks knocked off West Virginia last week.

Kansas is 2-0 and it’s not a fluke. The Jayhawks are averaging more than 200 yards per game on the ground and the offense is pretty explosive led by quarterback Jalon Daniels. The KU offense is converting 74 percent of its third-down attempts, which tells you something about the QB play and the offensive line.

Daniels had three touchdown passes on the road and 82 yards on the ground as the Jayhawks scored 55 points in Morgantown last week.

The Mountaineers were fresh off a tough road loss to Pitt in Week 1 and Houston lost a game in overtime to Texas Tech. This week, the Cougars will face another future Big-12 foe in Kansas and despite the Jayhawks’ 2-0 record, they are nine-point underdogs.

Yet, QB Clayton Tune is a good reason to believe Houston can avoid the upset. Still, the number seems pretty high and as with all of the games on this list, I’d take the Jayhawks with the points, and even outright, I could see them winning.
