No. 6 Oklahoma at Nebraska football (+10.5)

What will the impact of Mickey Joseph be? That’s what every Nebraska football fan is asking as old rival Oklahoma heads to Lincoln Memorial Stadium for the first time in over a decade.

The Sooners and Huskers met last season in Norman and it was a competitive game. The Huskers were terrible on special teams and mismanaged things in the red zone.

This time around, Nebraska football will need to be nearly perfect. The defense has allowed 494 yards per game and it’s a huge question of whether it can stand up against Oklahoma.

Yet, crazy things happen in college football. That’s just a fact (look at last week). If Marshall can beat Notre Dame, Nebraska football can beat Oklahoma at home.

Trev Alberts took a big step by firing Scott Frost and while many aren’t looking at Mickey Joseph as a legitimate candidate, if he can win against OU, that will change everything and the feeling is that the Huskers will be better.

After all, things can’t be worse. The Sooners might escape with a win but it won’t be easy and I’d at least take the Huskers with the points.
