Mohamed Ibrahim is as good as ever

Mohamed Ibrahim continued to add to his already spectacular Gopher career in today’s game against Colorado. Ibrahim returned to Minnesota for a sixth year after suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in the Gophers’ season opener against Ohio State last season.

Today, Ibrahim looked as explosive as ever as he opened the game with an impressive 19-yard run. He then finished the opening drive with the opening touchdown to put the Gophers up 7-0.

Ibrahim had over 100 yards on the ground before the 1st quarter ended. Ibrahim’s final stat line included 202 rushing yards on 23 attempts. Ibrahim also had three rushing touchdowns in today’s game to bring his career rushing touchdown total to 40.

Those 40 touchdowns currently place Ibrahim in a tie with Darrell Thompson for most career rushing touchdowns in Minnesota Gopher football history.

This is a record that Ibrahim will look to break next week as the Minnesota Gophers head to East Lansing to take on the Michigan State Spartans.
