WVU football: 3 bold predictions vs. Virginia Tech in Week 4
1. West Virginia wins by a touchdown
Good teams win, great teams cover. West Virginia is about to do both on Thursday night.
Lane Stadium is not an easy place to win but West Virginia has been absolutely battle-tested to this point in the season while Virginia Tech has skated by.
The Mountaineers faced a ranked Pitt team on the road who won the ACC last year and they came up just short. They probably should have won but they weren’t scared of the stage or the environment with GameDay making a special appearance.
Then they hosted a vastly improved Kansas team led by Lance Leipold and got taken to overtime. This is another game that the Mountaineers let slip away and they should honestly be either 3-0 or 2-1 on the year with a ranked win. That would make them ranked more than likely.
But they’re going to take out all that frustration on the Hokies on Thursday and improve to 2-2 on the season with a 27-20 road win.
